Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation

VRG was the General Partner and Special Servicer on a $63 million portfolio of troubled land loans. VRG liquidated the entire portfolio and generated a 35% annual return to its partners over 4 years.

For the past 14 years, VRG has managed a collection partnership with FDIC, where it has liquidated over $1 billion in financial claims. VRG liquidated a $200 million distressed commercial loan and real estate portfolio for the RTC (Resolution Trust Corporation) achieving the highest percentage return among 20 SAMDA (asset management) contractors. Also, VRG principals managed and conducted the termination and dissolution of a portfolio of 265 thrift subsidiaries and their investments for the RTC.

InterAmerican Development Bank

VRG advised the IDB on the conditionality and safety and soundness standards for the Central Bank of Barbados and its national banks.

Central Bank of Suriname

VRG advised on the conditionality, safety and soundness standards, and developed asset management and disposition strategies for the Bank.

Ohio Department of Commerce

VRG’s founder evaluated and made restructuring recommendations to all 10 divisions of the Ohio Department of Commerce under then Governor (now U.S. Senator) George Voinovich. Those recommendations were instrumental in the department's consolidation and reorganization which also led to the identification of $11 million in annual savings.

U. S. Dept of Housing and Urban Development/OMHAR

In late 2002, VRG began its sub-contract with RER Solutions who is the prime contractor for HUD/OMHAR to service its nationwide portfolio of second mortgage loans on multi-family properties and to perform as its post-closing portfolio manager. The goal is to protect HUD's and FHA's loan interests, helping to ensure the continuity of each multi-family project.
